Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish. Each week there is a new prompt and you make a list with that prompt. This week the prompt is: Top 10 things that will INSTANTLY make me want to read that book.

  • 1. The Cover – I, like many other bookworms are suckers for a beautiful cover. If you have a beautiful cover, I’m probably going to buy your book ASAP.
  • 2. The Author – I have certain authors that I just automatically one click their books without really reading the synopsis because I just love their writing so much.
  • 3. Best Friend’s Sister/Brother – If a book remotely says Best friend’s sister/brother, I one click so fast my kindle doesn’t know what hit it.
  • 4. Fake Dating – I just really love the idea of fake dating turning into real dating. *cough cough The Deal by Elle Kennedy*
  • 5. Surprise Pregnancies / Secret Baby Romance – Let me tell you, I am a sucker for secret baby romances and surprise pregnancies. SUCKER. I love the drama.
  • 6. Enemies to Lovers – there is something just so dramatic about enemies to lovers that I love to read it.
  • 7. Friends to Lovers – the slow burning romance. I love it. I love it.
  • 8. Sports Romance – I’m a huge sports fanatic – basketball, football, baseball and hockey!
  • 9. Mexican/ Mexican American MC – I’m Mexican American and I love to read main characters like me. It’s hard to find them so appreciate the ones I can find.
  • 10. Aladdin Retellings – Aladdin is my favorite Disney movie ever. If a book even mentions Aladdin Retelling that baby is going on my TBR.

Do we share any of these things in common when it comes to INSTANTLY wanting to read a book? What are some things that make you one click?
