The July 2017 Wrap Up

A Monthly Recap is exactly what it sounds like, a recap of the month. I’ll be recapping books I read, posts of the month, a little bit of what’s going on outside the blog, and a little bit of what I have plan in the upcoming month. I’ll be linking up my monthly wrap to Feed Your Fiction Addiction.

This Month I Read:

A Break From Books And The Blog
  • July was a stressful month for me. I’m really hoping August will be a better month for me.
  • Little 1 began counseling back in May (I believe). He started behavior therapy this month and it has been a struggle. Some days I feel like I’m not doing the right thing. I feel like everything I do is wrong. I know this takes time but I can’t help but feel like I did something wrong. We’re also working on getting his ADHD under control. I’m nervous about school starting.
  • I’ve been feeling really down this past month. I’ve had trouble sleeping. I want to work on getting back into yoga and meditating. I also decide it was time to feel better about myself so I got my eyebrows done, I’m getting my hair cut tomorrow and I bought myself some make up. I was actually surprised that I found my shade in foundation on the first try.
  • Little 1 and 2 start school on August 3rd so we’ve been running around trying to get school supplies, uniforms, home visits and working on getting them on a good sleep schedule. I’m pretty nervous about Little 2 starting school she’s very shy and doesn’t take to people much.

My Goal for August is to:

How did July treat you? What was your favorite book?

About Tina

Tina is a twenty something year old mommy of three and lifelong lover of reading. When she is not breaking up fights between her littles, you can find her binge watching a show on Netflix or pretending to organize her life in her bullet journal. But in reality she's just an organized mess.

  • Geekarella is on my list! Happy August!

    • Geekarella is such a cute book! I hope you get to it soon! Happy August!

  • Sorry to hear that July was a stressful month for you. Pretty much stunk for me too, so hope August is better for us both! Good luck with all of your school preparations!

    • Thank you! I hope August is better for both of us too! We survived our first two days of school, I’m kind of nervous about the full week ahead for us.

  • I wouldn’t worry about Little 2 too much, I was super shy when I was a kid and my teachers coaxed me out of it little by little during the first couple years so that I would participate πŸ™‚

    • Little 2 actually did really good! When we did the little activity while dropping her off, we finished it and she looked at me and said “okay mommy, you can leave now!” and went to make friends. Little 1 was actually really nervous.

  • Sounds like July was super busy for you. I’m sorry it was so stressful. I am excited to see what your August brings πŸ™‚

    • Thank you! I’m really hoping August is much better for me. I hope August is great for you!

  • Utopia State of Mind

I love your goal! And I hope August is better for you! For me August will be 100X more stressful…but I’ll make it!

    • You got this! So far August has been stressful when it comes to getting the Littles to school but I think we got it.

  • You read some great books! I want to get to Geekerella soon. It sounds so fun.

The situation with your little does sound stressful. Just remember you’re doing the best you can, mama!

I hope you have a great August!

    • Geekerella is really adorable. I did the audiobook for it and really enjoyed the narrators.

Thank you so much! Some days I really feel like I’m not doing enough for him but I know I am.

I hope you have a wonderful August as well!

  • Your August goal is on point. I’ve been so stressed these past few month that I’m just ready to have some moments of calm and peace instead of juggling “adulthood.”

Geekerella sounds like such a fun book.

    Have a lovely August. πŸ˜€

  • Oh starting school on August 3rd sounds so early. School doesn’t start back until September here in most cases. I’m sorry to hear July was so stressful for you. I hope August will be better and that things with Little 1 turns out okay soon. Hugs. Good that you decided to take care of yourself a bit. And your August goal sounds great!

  • *hugs* As long as you love your Little 1, and let him know you’ll always be there for him no matter what, you’re doing the right thing.
