August 2017 Bullet Journal Set Up

Posted August 7, 2017 by Tina in As Planned by Tina, As Told by Tina / 3 Comments

My August 2017 Bullet Journal set up was something I was looking forward to doing and when I decided to do a color scheme I thought the primary colors would be amazing! And now 7 days into August, I absolutely hate it. But that’s the best part about bullet journaling, you learn as you go.

While I may hate the color scheme, I’ve found these spreads to be actually pretty good. I’m looking to revamp completely in September so I’m really excited to show you that set up next month.

I am still in my Leuchtturm1917 Hardcover Medium Dotted Journal in Navy Blue. For August, I used my Tombow Dual Brush Pens in Primary Colors and my Pitt artist pen in M, XS and F.

The idea for this spread was to have a simple calendar set up. I noticed that I haven’t been turning to my full spread calendar so I figured condensing it to one page might be better. It definitely needs some tweaking.

I am also using Tiny Ray Of Sunshine‘s habit tracker. I’m looking into finally finding the right habit tracker for me. I also feel like I really need to work on what habits I want to track.

I’m again using the Tiny Ray Of Sunshine‘s habit tracker. This time, I am working on self-care and my social media presence. I mentioned in my August Wrap Up how I’ve been feeling really stressed out and depressed so I’m focusing on self-care for August. I also decided to do a social media habit tracker. I am TERRIBLE at blogging, blog hopping, commenting, etc. I want to really work on these habits.

This is a spread, I did in July and I freaking loved it. For August, I decided to combine both my mood and Anxiety tracker. I do think this needs to be tweaked but I really love seeing how my mood and anxiety were throughout the month. It also helps with therapy.

My therapist wants me to focus on the good things going on in my life because I am just focusing on the negative. This definitely helps with trying to find at least one positive in each and every day. I won’t lie some days are harder then others but it’s a start.

I did have another spread but it is for Little 1. Little 1 is in behavior therapy and also has mood disorder so I am keeping track of his behaviors and moods. It’s my first time doing a spread for Little 1 so I’m excited to see if this actually works. I also hope it works when it comes to therapy so we can see any correlation between everything.

So there you have it, my August bullet journal set up! It was pretty simple but as I’ve already told you, I’m not feeling this color scheme. I’m already planning on working on my September set up so you’ll see that soon.

Let me know if you have any ideas for this little series on my blog!

About Tina

  • I’ve never seen that type of habit tracker before! I don’t really understand how it works haha. I added a habit tracker to my monthly spread – I’ll send you a pic of it. It’s nothing special though haha, but maybe it will give you ideas for something. You’ve probably seen it before honestly.

  • Love the bright, primary colors you picked! It’s really bright and happy, so curious to hear why you hate it? You’re right though, one of the great things about bullet journals is that you learn as you go and can always try new things.

I like the look of your habit tracker, but the one I use is separate box trackers for each habit. I’ve tried a few different set-ups and the separate boxes seem to suit me best.

Love your One Line A Day Gratitude Log! I’ve seen others where you have to write quite a bit, but I like your one line idea better. I could probably do one line a day!

  • I’ve always wanted to try bullet journaling but I’m always so busy I don’t know when I’d get the time. Haha. Interested to see how yours progresses!
