Make Me Read It….

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you’d know that I mainly read romance but I tend to dab into other genres from time to time.

Brother/Sister’s Best Friend + little brother/sister romance.
If the blurb even mentions about a brother’s best friend falling for the “off limits” sister/brother. I LIVE FOR THIS TROPE. GIVE IT TO ME. My brother’s friends weren’t good looking so I feel like I mainly read this trope to make up for it haha.

Fake Dating
I love fake dating. I think this one of my top 10 tropes ever. I love the blurred line between “real” dating and fake dating.

Friends To Lovers
So funny story, my husband and I were friends before we started dating. So, this trope is a favorite of mine just because it always hits close to home.

Anything with Witches
I love reading anything with witches, I haven’t read that many books with witchcraft but I add them all to my TBR so hopefully I will tackle all the books on my TBR.

Mythology
I’ve always been fascinated with mythology mainly greek but just recently, I’ve been wanting to learn more about Mexican mythology (is it even called that?) well anyway, I’d love to know more about the Aztec and Mayan culture/myths so that’s one of my goals for this year.

Gorgeous Cover
Do you know how many books I’ve bought because the cover was so pretty. *stares at kindle & book shelf*

Taking Place In My Hometown
I love having books take place in my hometown. It is amazing to see my neighborhood or even my city through someone else’s eyes. It also awesome to have characters who are just like me.

Family Secrets or Secret Baby
I LIVE FOR SECRET BABY ROMANCES. I’m like super embarrassed to say that but I love secret babies. GIMME ME. I also love family secrets, this could be due to my insane amount of novela watching I did when I was younger that revolved around family secrets so I love those.

Certain Retellings
I love retellings but only some retellings. I’ve never been a huge fan of say Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella. So I don’t really gravitate towards those retellings but I do love Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Peter Pan and Beauty and The Beast and Anastasia. That’s the kind of retellings, I’d pick up.

True Crime/ Memoirs
I love listening to True Crime and Memoirs on audiobook. I don’t even know why but I just love to listen to them so I tend to be fascinated with both of these.

What are some things that make you read a book? What about things that make you not want to read a book?
