Welcome to Previously On: August Recap! This is where I recap what I read, listened to, hauled and watch throughout the month. I’ll be linking up my monthly recap to Feed Your Fiction Addiction, Stacking The Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality.

What I’m Currently Reading

  • My audiobook for The Storm Runner expired but I do own a hardcopy so I plan on restarting this one.
  • With The Fire On High – I am about 41% into this one. I was loving it but then I saw that Elizabeth narrates the audiobook so I’m going to listen to it on Scribd.
  • The Lion Heart is one I’m really excited for. I plan on finishing it this week.

Behind The Scenes Of As Told By Tina

  • August was a really rough month. On August 3rd, there was a mass shooting in my city at a local Wal-Mart. It was one I’ve been to but not very often as I reside on the west side of El Paso. I fortunately didn’t know any of the victims but it still broke my heart to see my city in so much pain. It has been a struggle going to Wal-Mart because I keep wondering what will happen if it happens again. There are cops now in front of the store while it does ease my mind it reminds me that this is real, it happened. I finally visited the memorial and it was just so sad. It was so dark and gloomy. But also wonderful, there were signs from Baltimore, Florida, Puerto Rico, California, Chicago showing El Paso Love. The world isn’t that bad, I guess.
  • The Littles started school on the 5th. Little 1 is struggling a bit with the school work because his teacher is pushing him. He’s above grade level so he’s being challenged and he doesn’t really like it. Little 2 thinks school is so boring yet wants to be a teacher. Little 3 is liking school a lot. She talks about her friends all the time.
  • Little 1 has been really busy with after school STEM programs and baseball and football practice. The season officially kicks off on September 7th.
  • Little 2 lost 3 teeth this month. She lost her two front teeth and a bottom tooth. The tooth fairy is broke.
  • Little 3 had her first picture day and I scored that dress you see for $5 in the clearance section at Target.
