Tiny Bookworm Thursday: April Edition [3]

Hi! My tiny bookworms and I welcome you to another Tiny Bookworm Thursday. I’m still working out details for Tiny Bookworm Thursdays where my little ones and I review books together. I thought it would bring out the other reading side of me. I’m always on the search for new books for my little ones and I to enjoy. If you have any recommendations please feel free to comment below! For this edition of Tiny Bookworm Thursday I’m doing a monthly wrap up, similar to my monthly wrap up, plus a Stacking the Shelves edition. We invested in Kindle Unlimited this month, which has been a life saver for us. We get to check out the library and see what books we want to read. This month we read a total of five books and we bought a couple more. I decided to include a mini review section for the […]

Something New!

I’m always looking for ways to improve my blog. I carry around a little notebook aside from my reading journal to write down any ideas I have for my blog. Lately, I have had a couple I wanted to bring to the blog like a trail run to see how they work out. Some of the new things you’ll see on my blog: Discussions – I’ve wanted to do discussions since I started blogging. The problem with that is finding just the right topic to talk about. I have one topic brewing in my head that I’m hoping to have up in a couple days. Tiny Bookworm Thursday – My little ones and I have been sending a lot of time reading lately and I wanted to share with you our recent book hauls, reviews and anything bookish. TBR Monthly Challenge – I finally made my TBR jar which turned […]

Tiny Bookworm Thursday – Time Together – Me & Grandpa by Maria Catherine (2)

Cristian and I decided to read Time together: Me & Grandpa for our bedtime story the other night. He seemed to really enjoy it, it takes him a while to sit through an entire bedtime story but Time Together-Me & Grandpa really caught his attention and I would have to say it was because the illustrations were gorgeous. The book is illustrated by Pascal Campion. The illustrations like I said are gorgeous. The book has few words but I felt like the illustrations could have told the story on its own. The people in the illustration looked genuinely happy to be in each other’s company. My son would often tell me what the people in the books were doing before I had read the story. I thought it was neat to see him so engaged in the book. What I really liked about the book was its message. The importance […]

Tiny Bookworm Thursday (1)

When I first started my blog I had intended to showcase everything I was reading at the time, then my son Cristian whose about to be 4 started showing an interest in reading. I would always read to him but he would just ignore me and now he finally sits through stories. So after his sparked interest I decided I wanted to dedicated some of my blog to my reading adventures with my little ones.  My mom use to read to me all the time when I was little and I remember her always sitting on the couch nose deep into a good book. When I first learned to read you could find me sitting next to her reading and to this day you can probably find us sitting next each other reading. She’s what sparked my interest in reading, when I found out I was pregnant I wanted to […]

I have never read….

Posted March 20, 2015 by Tina in As Discussed by Tina / 1 Comment

I saw the hash tag “I have never read” and thought this would be an interesting blog post. I am sure there are books I have read that you haven’t and I am sure there are books I haven’t read that you have. I know I need to read these books and they’re all on my TBR list…will I ever get to them I sure hope so. I have never read any Ayn Rand books but I have tried. I have always been drawn to the Fountainhead, I don’t know why but it’s always caught my attention. I always start it and never finish it. I am hoping this year I’ll be able to finally finish it. I have never read any Jane Austen books… I have only seen Mr. Darcy in the movie and I am obsessed with the soundtrack. However, I have never read the books but I’ve […]
