MyTBRList | November 2017 Poll

My TBR List is hosted by Michelle from Because Reading. Each month you select 3 books and have your readers vote for the one they think you should read. The poll goes up on the first Saturday, the results are announced the next Saturday and the review goes up on the last Saturday. Every month I try do a theme just to make it more interesting for me! For my November 2017 poll, I decided to do a sequel edition. I’m horrible when it comes to finishing up a series or picking up the second book so I figured now might be the perfect time to pick up those sequels collecting dust on my shelf. The November 2017 Nominees are: Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter. She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever. When another boy […]

The Liebster Award

The Liebster Award is an award presented to bloggers by other fellow bloggers, with the pure intention of supporting each other! As part of being nominated, you must answer the eleven questions given by the blogger who kindly nominated you. Then in turn nominate eleven more bloggers and leave eleven new questions for them to answer. I was nominated by Jenna from JK I’m Exploring! Thank you so much Jenna for nominating me! The Questions Do you have any weird blogging habits? I actually write out all my blog posts by hand before typing them up. I find it so much easier to write out all my ideas by hand then transcribe them and post them. I also plan out my posts about a month in advance although most of those never see the time of day. What is a book you really wanted to read this year and haven’t […]

Introducing My #NaNoWriMo 2017 Project

#NaNoWriMo is approaching! For those of you who don’t know what #NaNoWriMo is, it is National Novel Writing Month and it begins on November 1 to November 30. The challenge is to write 50,000 words (complete a novel) in 30 days! I’ve decided to take up the challenge. I attempted last year but failed but this year, I’m determined to win. My #NaNoWriMo project for 2017 is basically the book I started in 2016 but I went back and worked out some of the things that I was stuck with and now I’m so excited and so pumped to actually sit and write this! I’ll be linking up to Paper Fury’s Beautiful Books! What inspired the idea for your novel, and how long have you had the idea? River In My Veins (this is the tentative title at the moment) is an idea I’ve had for over a year. I […]

My Anti-Haul (#1)

Welcome to my first Anti-Haul post! I saw this on Taryn’s blog and thought it would be kind of fun to show the books I don’t plan on buying but maybe borrowing from the library. Truth be told, I haven’t really bought many books lately and I may do a post about that soon. But today, I’m showing you the books I don’t plan on buying this time around. My Anti-haul Turtles All The Way Down by John Green Reason: I’m not sure about this one, John Green is very hit or miss with me so I may just borrow this one from the library. I don’t have really high expectations for it since his books tend to be all the same. 27 Hours by Tristina Wright Reason: I’ve heard really good things about this one and not so good things about this one. Personally, it wasn’t something I wanted […]

A Weekly Recap | Surviving Fal..

A Weekly Recap | Surviving Fall Break

Welcome to my Weekly Recap! This is where I recap what I’ve read, watched, blogged about, books I purchased and the behind the scenes aspect of my life. I’ll be linking up to the Sunday post hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer and Stacking the Shelves by Tynga’s Reviews. This Week On As Told By Tina This Week In Reading This Week I Hauled I only hauled Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban but I didn’t take any pictures of it. This Week In My Life: The Littles were on Fall Break and we weren’t able to do anything fun during the week but we’re currently in Arizona right now. The Littles had doctor’s appointments and it turns out Little 1 has bronchitis but it was almost over so they didn’t recommend any medication. We just need to keep an eye on him. I’ve been working on my NanoWriMo project […]

MyTBRList | October 2017 Poll

My TBR List is hosted by Michelle from Because Reading. Each month you select 3 books and have your readers vote for the one they think you should read. The poll goes up on the first Saturday, the results are announced the next Saturday and the review goes up on the last Saturday. I began my September BOTM but it expired before I could finish (I literally read like 2-3 pages) and the waitlist for it was about 10 people so I wasn’t able to actually read it. For October, I’m doing kind of a spooky theme to coincide with Halloween. October 2017 Nominees Shadowshaper by Daniel José Older Cassandra Clare meets Caribbean legend in SHADOWSHAPER, an action-packed urban fantasy from a bold new talent. Sierra Santiago was looking forward to a fun summer of making art, hanging out with her friends, and skating around Brooklyn. But then a weird […]

I’m Reading But I’..

I’m Reading But I’m Not Reviewing | A Discussion-ish

I’m going through a phase where I’m reading a ton of books and some of them are even really good books but I don’t want to review them. Honestly, it’s part I don’t want to review them part I can’t remember how to write a review. Here are some of the reasons I’m currently enjoying just reading and NOT reviewing. Some of the books I’ve read are hyped books (think When Dimple Met Rishi) and I felt like many people have already read the book and my review won’t matter. It’s going to get lost on goodreads or it’s going to be some variation of everything that has already been said. Could I add something different from what has already been said? Most of the time, I can’t so I just mark the book read on goodreads and move on. Are reviews even helpful or even wanted? I’ve been thinking […]

My Absolute Favorite Bullet Journal Set Up Ever (October 2017)

Welcome to another As Planned By Tina! Today I’m showing my October 2017 set up and as you can see as the title of blog post. It is my absolute favorite set up yet. I’m a very Halloween/Fall type person. I love hoodies, I love the skulls and darkness of it all. I think it’s mainly because I relate to it but also because it’s my favorite time of year. Before I begin planning each month, I tend to flip through my almost completed month. My September bullet journal setup was extremely simple and I actually kept up with it. It was something I wanted to continue into my October 2017 setup. Each month, I attempt to keep a theme with my spreads. Of course, my October 2017 setup is very Halloween theme and it makes me so happy. My October 2017 set up begins on page 125 so I’m […]
