Announcing The 2019 #LetsReadIndie Reading Challenge!

The #LetsReadIndie Reading challenge is back in 2019! Join me in 2019 on the journey of discovering new indie books and authors. It doesn’t matter if you are new to the indie world or an avid indie reader. Join me today! #LetsReadIndie was created with the idea of getting more people to read indie authors. Indie books have the reputation for “not being as good” as traditional published books. Through my journey of reading indie books, I’ve discovered some amazing books and authors and I’m hoping you will too. Challenge Details #LetsReadIndie begins on January 1 – December 31. You may sign up at anytime. All books for this challenge must be indie or published by indie publishers. All formats count (ARCs, audio, physical, eBooks). All genres count (even picture books!) Re-Reads and crossovers from other challenges are totally okay! You do not have to be a blogger to join […]

#LetsReadIndie Spotlights + a Newsletter

#LetsReadIndie was created not only as a reading challenge but to also help introduce other readers to indie authors. Indie authors need reviews in order for the book to get visibility on Amazon. My goal for #LetsReadIndie is to spotlight a different author every Saturday from different genres. I want you to be able to discover a new author and perhaps your new favorite book. Now you maybe wondering where this is going and I’m getting there…I need authors to spotlight. I don’t care if you only have one book published or 100! I want to spotlight you! I want to help you get your books into the hands of readers. Depending on how many authors I get to participate, I’ll begin to spotlight perhaps at the end of the month but I’m leaning more towards the beginning of February. What will #LetsReadIndie Spotlights consist of? A guest post (I […]

#LetsReadIndie 2018 Reading Challenge + Sign Ups

Welcome to the 2018 #LetsReadIndie Challenge! RaeAnne and I created this challenge this year because we wanted to read more Indie authors and also support them! Unfortunately, RaeAnne will not be hosting this year, she is incredibly busy with her subscription box ScribeKit that is specifically for writers. I’m taking over all hosting duties so this challenge is going to be very simple and I hope you join me. The #LetsReadIndie 2018 Challenge The challenge is just to read as many Indie authors as you’d like. If you just want to read 1 indie book in 2018, GO FOR IT! I also encourage you to please leave reviews for the books you do read, as you know indie authors gain more exposure the more reviews their books have! This is just an encouragement not a requirement. When does the challenge begin? The challenge begins on January 1, 2018 to December […]

Today I have SJ de Lagarde author of this month’s #LetsReadIndie Book of The Month: Solacium. Interviewing SJ de Lagarde Welcome to As Told By Tina! Thank you so much for being apart of #LetsReadIndie! Could you tell us a little about yourself and your book “Solacium”? SJ: Hello Tina, thank you for giving me this opportunity! I’m half-Dutch, half-German, I was born in France and have been living in London for over 10 years. I love reading and as a kid you would always find me with my nose buried in a book. I would go on holidays and pack my suitcase full of books instead of clothes, it used to drive my mother crazy. I started […]
