TMST | To Book Tour Or Not To Book Tour?

Tell Me Something Tuesday is hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings. Today’s Topic is: To Tour or Not to Tour? Do you participate in book tours? Why or why not? To Book Tour Or Not To Book Tour? I began book blogging back in 2015 and back then blog tours were very popular. There were a ton of blog tour companies, big publishers used them and everyone wanted to be on the tour. Fast forward a couple years, and blog tours seemed to have lost their way. Many blog tour companies have shut down. And I honestly couldn’t tell you what tour companies are still around except for the one I personally work with from time to time. Blog tours are a lot of work not just on the bloggers behalf. The company running the tour has to create the tour, pick from sometimes hundreds of bloggers to be apart of […]

TMST | My Spring 2019 Picks

Tell Me Something Tuesday is hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings. Today’s topic is my spring 2019 picks. I picked a mix of ARCs (both new and old), audiobooks, backlist and new releases. I also decided to included three series I’m looking to finish soon. These are in no particular order. My Spring 2019 Picks Last Of Her Name by Jessica Khoury – retelling of Anastasia! SIGN ME UP. On The Come Up by Angie Thomas – It is Angie Thomas! This was also the book of the month of a facebook group I’m in. I just didn’t get to read it. The Risk by Elle Kennedy – The Briar clan has a special place in my heart. The Fever King by Victoria Lee – I saw everyone was raving about this book so I got it for free thanks to Prime’s 1st of the month program. The audiobook was also […]

Tell Me Something Tuesday | Midyear Check In!

Tell Me Something is hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings. This week the topic is a mid year check in for challenges and reading goals. Can you believe it is already June and half the year is already gone? HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN SO FAST? Today I’m sharing with you a little mid year check in. My 2018 challenges I took on far too many challenges (some hosted by others and some I just wanted to make for myself). #ASeriesAMonth (Goal:12) I’m really behind on this challenge. I’ve only read one series so far and that was The Brooklyn Bruisers by Sarina Bowen. # Needed to complete challenge: 11 Alphabet Soup Reading Challenge (Goal:26): I’ve completed 16 letters! I think I can definitely accomplish this challenge. # Needed to complete challenge Alphabet Soup Reading Challenge (Littles Goal:26) I’m a little behind in indexing The Littles reading challenge. # Needed to complete […]

TMST | Posting Reviews In A Timely Manner

Tell Me Something Tuesday is hosted by Heidi of Raining Day Ramblings. Each week, there is a discussion prompt. Today the prompt is Do you feel pressured to get your reviews posted in a timely manner?. Do You Feel Pressured To Get Your Reviews Posted In A Timely Manner? Not anymore! I began blogging about 3 years ago and I use to feel a lot of pressure to get reviews up in a timely manner. I use to stress about it so much, I thought to be a book blogger you needed to have a review up every single day. I use to be so hard on myself because I wasn’t getting those reviews up. I can honestly say that my earlier reviews back in the day were a total disaster. I’ve been slowly working on indexing every review I have written over the past 3 years and when I […]

Tell Me Something Tuesday | I can’t wait for my kids to read these…

Tell Me Something is hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings. This week the topic is What books are you excited to share with your kids or younger readers in your lives?. I am super excited for this topic because Little 1 is learning to read and I cannot wait to figure out what his tastes in books are. I also have a 11 year old niece who doesn’t like to read so I’ve made it my personal mission to find books that she’ll like. I haven’t been totally successful yet but I’m not giving up yet. That being said, these are some of the books I can’t wait for my kids to read some day. I remember one of the first books I read by myself was a Goosebumps book. I loved these books so much. Madison Finn came into my life when my parents divorced. Madison Finn was also a […]
