Review | Just For Now by Abbi Glines

Just For Now is the fourth book in the Sea Breeze series. This one is about Amanda and Preston. Both characters have been introduced in previous Sea Breeze stories but this time they take center stage. Just For Now is much more mature then the previous Sea Breeze novels. I also feel like this one really pushed into the new adult genre. It was more explicit, it dealt with more mature topics and it was one that made me have very mixed feelings. Part of me loved this story; the other part of me thought this story could have been handled a little different. What did I love about this story? Well I loved Preston! I thought he was extremely caring, so sweet and probably one of the worlds best big brothers. He always put his brothers and sister first even if I didn’t necessarily agree with his decisions. In […]

Review | While It Lasts by Abbi Glines

While It Lasts is the third book in Sea Breeze and I want to say it is one of my favorites of the series. I can definitely understand why everyone is in love with Cage York. Cage York is a character we met in Because Of Low. He could be a little hard to like because he was your typical man whore but I also saw a side of him that I was curious about. And Abbi didn’t disappoint me when it came to Cage’s growth. He definitely had a side to him that made me love him. I would have loved a bit more of a backstory on him but I really enjoyed his character. Eva is our leading lady and I felt really bad for her. She was really hurt and I felt like she definitely grew from one page to the next. She had a rough exterior […]

Review | Because Of Low By Abbi Glines

Because of Low is the second novel in Sea Breeze Series. This can be read as a standalone but if you’d like to fully understand the story, then I would recommend beginning with Breathe. Marcus was introduced in Breathe and I was Team Marcus so I was pretty excited to know that Because Of Low was his book. I had high expectations of Marcus that sadly weren’t meant. In Breathe, Marcus was sweet and kind and I felt like Because of Low showed a side of him, I didn’t really care for. He was a little too alpha for me and I felt like he went a bit overboard with Low and I didn’t really like that. Low on the other hand was very sweet and I thought she had a heart of gold. I thought she put with a ton of people’s crap and didn’t expect much in return. […]

Review | Breathe by Abbi Glines

I’m participating in the Can You Read A Series In A Month challenge and I picked the Sea Breeze series by Abbi Glines. It’s a series, I’ve heard nothing but good things about and it was one I’ve been meaning to get to forever. Breathe is the first book in Sea Breeze series, it featured the typical Abbi Glines romance, a damsel in distress, a bad boy who should stay away from damsel but can’t resist especially when someone else shows interest. It brought nothing new to the table when it comes to the New Adult genre. Unlike most of Abbi Glines’ books, this one didn’t hook me right away. At one point, I even considered throwing in the towel but finally after 50% I started getting hooked and before I knew it the story was over. Sadie White is our damsel. She just moved to Sea Breeze after her […]

Review | Until Friday Night by Abbi Glines

Abbi Glines is one of my favorite authors and one I can count on to get me out of a reading slump. About a year ago, she announced that she was writing Young Adult and it was going to be about football. I was probably the most excited person on earth because Abbi + YA + Football = a very happy Tina. The Story If you’ve read Abbi Glines then you know what to expect when you go to read one of her books. Sometimes, it can be a bit cliche and that was the case for Until Friday Night. Until Friday Night was a bit darker for Abbi. It dealt with both cancer and murder. I felt like both of these subjects could have been handled better. The cancer portion of the book was handled okay and took up a good porition of the book. I felt like the […]
