I should start off by saying that I went into this with relatively low expectations because I have read Evelyn’s previous book the Inner Circle and wasn’t blown away by it, but it was addicting. So, I figured that The Perfect Date reflected a lot of what I’ve seen on Basketball Wives when it came to Evelyn’s relationship with a baseball player. There were a ton of similarities between her real life and The Perfect Date. However, I WAS DUPED! Please, don’t let this adorable cover. The synopsis trick you. This IS NOT A ROMANCE. Review |  Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

My Review: The beginning was a bit slow for me but afterwards I did not want to put my kindle down. We meet Cath who’s our main character. She hates change. Her life revolves around her twin sister Wren and their father. Let’s not forget Simon Snow (think Harry Potter). Cath and Wren are about to start college, much to Cath’s dismay Wren doesn’t want to be roommates in college. Forcing Cath to live with a complete stranger. “There was a boy in her room.”  Totally not the roommate situation Cath was expecting. Fortunately, the boy in her room is her roommate’s friend Levi. Reagan is Cath’s roommate, she’s not exactly a friendly. She’s a bit rough around the edges but she grows on you throughout the book.
